When will the winners be announced?
The winners will be notified by email on 19th October 2022 using the details disclosed on the entry form. The winners’ names and their winning entry will also be published on this website, the AGnVET website at www.agnvet.com.au.
What are the judges looking for?
The overall theme of the competition is Australian Farming Today and five (5) categories have been provided for submission of your entry including; Water & Irrigation, Horticulture, Livestock, Cropping, Farm Life.
Our judges will be looking for Australian farming images that best represent the 5 categories provided. Images will be selected based on theme and category suitability, image quality, originality/creativity and composition.
What are the prizes?
- 1st prize $500
- 12 X Runners up $150.
Winning photos will be featured in the 2023 AGnVET Calendar.
Who will select the winners?
The winners will be selected by a panel of judges from the AGnVET Services marketing team.
How many photo’s can I enter into the contest?
A maximum of 6 photographs can be uploaded per entrant.
How do I submit my photographs?
Photographs can be submitted by clicking the ‘Upload Photo’ link and entering the details provided in the upload form. You will automatically be registered for the competition when you upload your first photograph and will receive an email with registration details. This will include your log-in for adding additional photos at a later date and checking the approval process.
What is my account login?
Your login details will be sent to you once you register by uploading your first image.
How do I log-in to submit additional photographs?
If you wish to submit additional images at a later date, log-in by selecting the ‘Your Images’ link. Enter your login details in the form provided and you will then have access to your previous images and can upload new images using the same account.
My photo is still ‘Waiting for approval’. What does this mean?
Photographs will not be displayed publicly until our judges have approved the photo for display on the website. Photographs will generally be approved within 1-3 days of submission. If the judges do not consider the Photograph suitable for the competition it will not be approved and will remain pending approval or deactivated.
Can I enter if I live outside Australia?
Yes, but photographs must be considered by the judges to be consistent with the theme ‘Australian Farming Today’ and include images fitting into the following categories;
Water & Irrigation, Horticulture, Livestock, Cropping, Farm Life.
Do I need a release form for people in my photo?
If they are recognizable, and especially if they are children, you need a release form upon AGnVET Services request.
If you are selected as a winner and have people included in your photo, AGnVET Services will provide an appropriate release from and you will be asked to submit the release at that time
Can photographs be cropped?
Yes – cropped photographs are eligible.
Do you accept B&W photographs?
Yes. Also, color photographs changed to black and white are acceptable.
What size should my photo be when entering?
In order to be suitable for publication in our 2023 calendar, photographs that are submitted must be of high resolution in JPEG (.jpg) format. The file needs to be a minimum 297mm x 210mm at 300dpi (3508 x 2480 pixels) in landscape orientation and a maximum of 10MB file size.
What rights to my Photograph do I retain?
You retain your rights to your photograph; however, by entering the contest, entrants grant AGnVET Services a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to display, distribute, reproduce and create derivative works of the entries, in whole or in part, in any media now existing or subsequently developed, for any educational, promotional, publicity, exhibition, archival, scholarly and all other standard AGnVET Services purposes. Any photograph reproduced in the calendar will include a photographer credit as feasible. AGnVET Services will not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with such uses.
